Voltammetric analyzer ТА-Lab

New version of the voltammetric analyzer is meant for measurements in routine analysis using intuitively understandable software. For the first time this class of devices relies on wireless connection to a computer, thus making the chemist’s workplace more comfortable. Design is aimed at ensuring maximum convenience and safe operation.

Application of TA-Lab analyzer

Voltammetric analyzer TA-Lab (polarograph) is designed to measure mass concentrations of elements, anions and cations in drinking, natural and waste water, soil, food products, alimentary raw materials, beverages, biological products and other materials by method of stripping voltammetry in accordance with standardized and certified measurement techniques.

 Characteristic features of TA-lab analyzer

Compliance with modern requirements

• Voltammetric analyzer TA-Lab is included in the Russian State Registry (RU.C.31.113.A No. 39547).
• Analysis techniques are certified in accordance with the Russian State Standard GOST R 8.563, included in the Russian Federal Registry of Measurement Techniques and Federal Environmental Regulatory Documents. Techniques of Zn, Cd, Pb, Cu, Mn, Hg, As, Sb, Bi detection are included in the Russian State Registry GOST R 52180.
• Analysis result and error characteristic are automatically calculated in accordance with the Russian State Standard GOST R 5725.
• Analyzer software allows performing its identification in the automatic mode.

Safe use

• The case made of corrosion-resistant steel renders the analyzer resistant to mechanic and chemical impact and jam-proof and extends its service life.
• Specialized electrode caps prevent operator’s contact with the working surface of an electrode, thus protecting both the operator from such contact and the working surface from contamination during electrode installation or removal.
• If the analyzer cover is opened during measurements, the mixing tool and UV-radiation sources are blocked.
• Double degree of electrochemical cells protection allows making measurements without placing the device into the exhaust hood. 

 Advantages

There are three electrochemical cells in the analyzer, so it is possible to simultaneously analyze three samples under repeatability conditions.

Two sources of UV-radiation (total power = 22 W) affect the analyzed solutions from two sides, which allows:

• detecting Zn, Cd, Pb, Cu, I in drinking and natural water (рН>4) without preliminary sample preparation;
• reducing measurement time, reducing reagent consumption and increasing sensitivity of Cd, Pb, Zn, Cu, Sn, Se, I detection in water and food products.

Ozone barbotage of analyzed solutions makes it possible to detect Hg in water without preliminary sample preparation.

For the first time wireless connection of voltammetic analyzer to PC using Bluetooth was introduced, which allows placing the analyzer up to 10 m from PC and using PC for other tasks during analyzer operation.

Stabilized vibration method of analyzed solution mixing improves repeatability and increases measurement sensitivity.

TA-Lab software

Software is equipped with a special function to verify identification data of the analyzer software. Analyzer interface contains the means to warn the user, if:

• unauthorized adjustment and tampering took place and may distort the measurement results;
• user actions may result in deletion of measured data and/or measurement results.

TA-Lab software is a convenient instrument of routine analysis. It significantly accelerates the analysis procedure, minimizes subjectivity in result evaluation and thus, enhances productivity, reliability, accuracy and plausibility of measurements.

The software is based upon traditional principles, typical for MS Windows application programs, and is compatible with MS Windows XP/2000/Vista/7
